The terms and conditions detailed below apply to all bookings made with Hotel Colessio (Castle) Ltd, trading as Colessio, via the individual hotel website or by telephone or otherwise. Please note that for promotional bookings the relevant additional terms and conditions should be consulted.

When you make a direct booking, your contract (which shall include these terms and conditions) will be with Hotel Colessio (Castle) Ltd, trading as Colessio, which shall mean in these terms and conditions Hotel Colessio (Castle) Ltd, trading as Colessio, 33 Spittal Street, Stirling FK8 1DU.

All rates featured on the Hotel Colessio (Castle) Ltd, trading as Colessio, website or quoted by telephone or otherwise are offered subject to availability and Hotel Colessio (Castle) Ltd, trading as Colessio, reserves the right to refuse any booking for good reason. In the event of a reservation being confirmed to an incorrect rate we reserve the right to withdraw the service provision.

Colessio offers a choice of room only, bed and breakfast rates. All prices are subject to availability.

PRICING

We offer a full range of packages and pricing, as detailed below. Our packages and pricing will fluctuate depending on availability and demand at any given time. All prices are subject to change without notice. Prices are subject to availability and are inclusive of VAT at the current prevailing rate.

ADVANCE PURCHASE RATES

In general, our Advance Purchase rates are available 7 days or more before the date of arrival (exceptions may apply on selected dates) and are fully prepaid at time of booking. Advance Purchase Rates are non-refundable and non-transferable. The credit/debit card used to book the Advance Purchase rate must be presented to reception on arrival at the hotel. Please note that failure to do so will result in an alternative payment method being required.

BEST FLEXIBLE RATES

In general, our Best Flexible Rates are available until the day of arrival. These rates allow you to alter or cancel your booking up until 12 Noon, 72 hours prior to the day of arrival without charge. Cancellations made after this time will incur the full reservation charge.

PROMOTION & PARTNERSHIP RATES

These rates will require a promotion code. Separate terms and conditions may apply which will take precedence over these standard booking terms and conditions.

For the avoidance of doubt, your price does not include any incidental charges which you may incur during your stay (including, by way of example only, in respect of your use of the hotel’s bar and the costs of parking). Such charges will be payable by you on your departure and, in the event that you fail to pay any such incidental charges, it is a condition of your contract with Hotel Colessio (Castle) Ltd, trading as Colessio, that you irrevocably authorise Hotel Colessio (Castle) Ltd, trading as Colessio, to debit your credit or debit card (see ‘Deposits and Pre-payments’ below) for the amount of any shortfall.

WHAT THE PRICE INCLUDES

Prices for reservations include twin or double bedrooms (single room for single guests) as reserved, with colour TV and private en-suite bathroom.

AVAILABILITY

During major sporting events, social events, conference and exhibitions certain rates may not be available. Certain dates may be subject to a minimum length of stay. All rates are subject to availability and may be withdraw without notice at any time.

DELUXE ROOMS & SUITES

Premium & Deluxe rooms may be available at a supplement per night. Generally, these rooms offer more space.  Family rooms may be available. Please ask for details at time of booking.

SINGLE GUESTS

Individual guests using a double or twin room for sole occupancy (where available) may benefit from a reduced rate at the hotel. These rooms may carry a supplement each night. Please ask at the time of booking.

CHILDREN

Children under the age of SIX can stay free on a room only or bed & breakfast basis at the hotel when sharing a room with two paying adults, using existing bed space in the accommodation. Children from the ages of 6 to 17 years will be charged at £30.00 per child per night inclusive of breakfast when sharing a room with two paying adults.  Availability of suitable rooms is limited, and portable beds may need to be used where such accommodation is sought. The hotel will determine whether a room is suitable for the purpose of this offer. 

GUESTS WITH IMPAIRED MOBILITY

The Hotel offers a selection of modified facilities for guests with impaired mobility. Whilst not having special facilities, have mainly level access to public areas and accessible bathrooms. Guests with impaired mobility or other particular requirements should check with the hotel in advance that their requirements can be met. Please call the hotel direct for details. Please note Colessio has ONE fully accessible room located on the ground floor, use of any other accommodation will require the guest to be able to self-evacuate should the need arise.

CAR PARKING

Colessio has car parking, which is chargeable, as the facility is managed by a third party Colessio is unable to assist in the event of misuse of the car park that result in fines. Spaces cannot be reserved for as we operate a first come first served basis. 

CHECKING IN AND OUT – ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Hotel rooms are available from 4pm on the day of arrival. Rooms must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure, unless otherwise sanctioned at the discretion of the Hotel Director.

MEAL ARRANGEMENTS

Rates which include breakfast offer a full traditional or continental breakfast with tea or coffee, unless stated otherwise. Those booking rooms through third party operators may be required to pay supplements for the full menu.

Our Reception Team is available to take your booking seven days a week from 9:00am to 9:00pm Monday to Friday and 10.00am to 5.30pm Saturday and Sunday.

When you make your booking, you will be asked to guarantee your booking with a valid debit/credit card if booked on Best Flexible Rate, or to prepay if booked on our Advance Purchase Rates, partnership or promotional rates. Please note that all cards will be pre-approved using a secure system to ensure their validity, if the card does not approve the reservation will be released. 

GROUP BOOKINGS

A booking of SIX rooms or more is classified as a group and is subject to our Group Terms & Conditions of business, which differ from our Best Available and Advance Purchase rates. Please contact our reception team for further details.

BALANCE OF MONIES OUTSTANDING

Prior to your departure from the hotel, you will be required to settle your bill.

On arrival you will be asked to produce a valid credit card for the hotel to take pre-authorisation. If you are settling your account with a debit card, you will be asked for a deposit to cover the cost of your room for your stay (any extras which you may incur in the hotel will not be chargeable to your room account).  Hotel Colessio (Castle) Ltd, trading as Colessio, accepts all major credit cards, including MasterCard, Visa and American Express, we do not accept cash or cheque.

GIFT VOUCHERS & VOUCHER PRIZES

Colessio gift vouchers should be presented on check-in or prior your dining experience.

Gift vouchers and vouchers used as competition prizes, unless otherwise specified on the voucher, are valid for SIX months from date of issue.

CANCELLATION & AMENDMENTS

All cancellations are made in accordance with the cancellation terms of the rate booked.

Advance Purchase Rates are non-refundable and non-transferable and full pre-payment will be forfeited. We recommend having sufficient travel insurance to ensure you are covered in the event of personal emergency or illness. 

Best Flexible Rates may be cancelled up until 12 Noon, 72 hours prior to the date of arrival without charge, after which a charge for the reservation cost shall be payable.

Promotion and Partnership rates may only be cancelled in accordance with the specific terms applying to that rate which will be advised at the time of booking. Third party and partnership cancellations must be processed through their channels and not with the hotel directly. 

A cancellation number must be obtained to ensure that charges are levied and cleared.

Whilst every effort is made to fulfil any requests which you may make in relation to your stay with us, please note that these requests do not form part of our contract, and we cannot guarantee that we will be able to meet any particular requests.

In the unlikely event that we must change or cancel your reservation,

We reserve the right to do so. However, you have the right to:

• Accept the changed arrangements as notified; or
• Make alternative arrangements with another hotel; or
• Cancel your reservation and receive a full refund of any monies which you have paid to Hotel Colessio (Castle) Ltd, trading as Colessio, in respect of your reservation (please note that we shall not be liable for any sums which you have paid to any other persons in connection with your reservation).

For the avoidance of doubt, we shall have no further liability to you for any changes to or the cancellation of any stay with us, inclusive but not limited to travel arrangements, additional accommodation, tickets, car rental, flight or third-party costs. 

COMPLAINTS OR COMMENTS

Any complaint or comment regarding a stay at our hotel should be made in the first instance to the hotel’s duty manager at the time of your stay so that it can be resolved at the time.

Problems which cannot be resolved there and then should be notified in writing to the hotel’s General Manager, Hotel Colessio, 33 Spittal Street, Stirling FK8 1DU.

GUEST CONDUCT

All guests are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful, orderly and lawful manner throughout their stay at the hotel. Behaviour that causes disturbance, distress, risk, or discomfort to other guests or to members of the hotel team will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, disorderly conduct, verbal abuse, threatening behaviour, property damage, or refusal to follow reasonable instructions issued by hotel staff in the interest of safety and comfort.

Hotel Colessio (Castle) Ltd, trading as Colessio, reserves the right to terminate a stay at any time if a guest’s behaviour is deemed unacceptable by the Duty Manager or Hotel Director. In such circumstances, the guest will be required to vacate the hotel immediately, and no refunds will be issued for the reservation or any unused portion of the stay. The hotel further reserves the right to claim compensation for any damage or loss caused by such conduct.

Hotel Colessio (Castle) Ltd, trading as Colessio, operates a strict zerotolerance policy regarding sexual harassment, inappropriate behaviour, or abuse of any kind towards members of our team, contractors, or other guests. Any form of unwelcome or inappropriate conduct of a sexual nature—including verbal comments, gestures, physical contact, or any behaviour that creates an intimidating, hostile or offensive environment—will result in the immediate cancellation of the reservation and removal of the guest from the premises without refund. Where necessary, the hotel will involve Police Scotland and provide any information required to support investigation or prosecution of abusive or criminal behaviour. CCTV with video and audio capabilities is in use across the hotel and may be used in the event of prosecution.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Although every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information set out on our websites and marketing campaigns, we cannot accept responsibility for any errors or omissions, and reserve the right to vary, amend, supplement or cancel any of the information or offers featured on our websites or email campaigns or otherwise at any time.

All details are correct at time of going to print, however may be subject to change from time to time.

Hotel Colessio (Castle) Ltd, trading as Colessio, shall not be responsible for any loss or damage which you may suffer arising out of events beyond its control or the control of its suppliers (including, without limitation, government restrictions, fire, failure of electrical, gas or other power supplies, strikes, industrial action, terrorist activity, technical problems with transport, illness of entertainers and bad weather), nor for any curtailment, cancellation or change to any accommodation, activity or itinerary or any other consequences which arise as a result of such events.

For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these terms and conditions shall operate to attempt to exclude or limit Hotel Colessio (Castle) Ltd, trading as Colessio liability for the death or personal injury of any person caused by the negligence of Hotel Colessio (Castle) Ltd, trading as Colessio, its employees, servants or agents or to attempt to exclude or limit Hotel Colessio (Castle) Ltd, trading as Colessio, liability in any manner which would be unlawful.

These terms and conditions shall be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction Scotland.
