Smith Art Gallery & Museum

The Stirling Smith Art Gallery & Museum was founded in 1874 with the bequest and the collection of artist Thomas Stuart Smith (1815-1869). From the earliest times the spectacular Stirling landscape has been a magnet for artists as well as tourists.
Due to the small stature of the building, you wouldn’t expect this museum to house the sheer amount that it does. There is a permanent collection of over 40,000 objects and regular exhibitions and events. The Museum tells the fascinating history of Stirling and the surrounding countryside.

Riverside Museum

Riverside Museum is Glasgow’s award-winning transport museum. With over 3,000 objects on display there’s everything from skateboards to locomotives, paintings to prams and cars, and even a full size Stormtrooper from Star Wars. There are recreated historic streetscapes, toy displays and even an underground train carriage. The Museum is in a stunning location on the River Clyde, and the ultra modern building has become a very popular attraction, named European Museum of the Year in 2013, just 2 years after it opened.
