St Andrews
If you are a golfer then you can’t come this close to the home of golf without paying a visit. You might not get to play the Old Course (not impossible, but very difficult to bag a tee time) but even just to see the famous Swilcan Bridge on the 18th and walk on the links is pilgrimage enough! There are actually 7 courses including the Old Course, and it is easier to get to play the others, but even if you don’t play a visit to St Andrews town and beach is a worthwhile day out for all the family.
