The Glenturret Distillery

Established in 1775 as a single malt distillery the Glenturret is nestled in the Perth countryside just outside Crieff and is Scotland’s oldest working distillery. Even to this day they continue the traditional methods of mashing by hand and cutting by eye, which you can see on this fascinating tour.

Deanston Distillery & Visitor Centre

The story of Deanston Distillery is one of re-generation and renewal. Based at what was a cotton mill that opened in 1785, it was converted into a distillery in 1974 and has been producing a hand crafted single malt whisky ever since. Tours operate on the hour every hour and show you the traditional open top mash tun and gleaming copper stills.

Glengoyne Whisky Distillery

This distillery proudly claims to have the slowest stills in Scotland, but it doesn’t seem to have held them back much! On a tour you will enjoy a dram of the Glengoyne 12 year old, and discover the secret glen where it all began. There are also various specialist tours and masterclasses you can enjoy if you want to discover more – they even have a Whisky and Chocolate Tour – need we say more?
